On One Accord
I chose to start this blog September,2011 because for the past couple years I have been more into politics and how I will be affected.I have found that others my age seem uninterested or hopeless of our socioeconomic status and how affects our education, family structure, health, and employment.Unless we stand together, and demand rights and equal opportunities to be productive citizens, our over all well being will be in grave danger. My generation need a stronger voice, and should keep the sacrifices the one before us have made in mind. In order for this to happen we need to educate ourselves, and hopefully this will be one way of sharing information. DR. M.L.K said "nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity (Dr. M.L.K"strength to love" 1963)"I feel that all black people can learn from each other, those who have a college degrees, and those who did not have the opportunity to further their education. As readers, feel free to comment and post your own questions that's been on your mind. I hope you love the content at the same time, learn a little more than you did yesterday! We will be addressing all kinds of things on here. "Hood" politics will have the latest political news that relate to African Americans and minorities. "Word on the Street" is were the latest music/entertainment Artist news will be shared."Our Voices" is my favorite, I am sharing my favorite quotes and, poems from past and current "black" icons and activist, personal concerns and Q/A from my readers.I want this to be an interactive site, we can be more unified by letting owr guards down and attacking our own issues head on.
